Patented capabilities enable organizations to navigate, manage and re-use complex content across customer-facing touchpoints

Messagepoint Inc. has been awarded two patents by the United States Patent and Trademark Office that support its customer communications management (CCM) platform’s unique ability to simplify the management of complex content variations. These significant patents further strengthen the company’s foothold as a leader in the CCM space.

“These patents validate our commitment to providing intelligent, innovative solutions that make it easier to manage complex content and create hyper-personalized and relevant experiences,” said Chris Miller, EVP, product development at Messagepoint. “By providing enterprise customers in regulated industries with the visibility, efficiency and control these patents enable in Messagepoint, they are able to confidently elevate customer experiences without introducing risk of the wrong message going to the wrong customer.”

Messagepoint’s variation management streamlines the process of sharing content across similar customer touchpoints. Content and layouts from a master touchpoint are passed down to variations and sub-variations to eliminate the requirement to create and manage duplicate templates. For example, organizations leveraging variation management can author hundreds of customer correspondence emails based on a single HTML email template. This significantly reduces the number of document composition and HTML email templates under management and the associated authoring and maintenance burden on IT teams. These capabilities also enable business users to efficiently create new variations of a communication without IT intervention, empowering them to drive greater personalization in their communications and rapidly respond to changing business requirements.

U.S. Patent No. 10,222,937 is for Messagepoint platform’s user interface (UI), which makes it possible for business users to intuitively navigate and manage segment-based variations in customer-facing content that enables greater relevancy and personalization. While traditional content management systems rely solely on search, foldering or message naming for business users to find content, the patented Messagepoint UI provides a visual and navigational overlay that presents a logical, interactive content map of pages and zones where content is organized in each customer touchpoint. The content is visually represented in a structure the user can easily understand and navigate.

U.S. Patent No. 10,990,924 is for Messagepoint platform’s variation management model support of the patented “Touchpoint Navigation” UI for easily navigating content by making it not only easy to find, but also easy to organize and share without relying solely on complex targeting rules. Messagepoint’s variation management capabilities are truly unique in the market and eliminate the need to create, update and manage a multitude of separate templates to accommodate the typical variations found in enterprise customer communications. Variation management drives massive efficiencies by optimally reducing the number of letter, email or document templates down to one and streamlines the overall change management cycles that are common in enterprise customer communications.

Messagepoint Inc.’s award-winning, patented platform gives non-technical business users, such as marketers, customer experience teams and product owners, intelligent control over the content in customer communications to achieve unparalleled personalization, relevancy, brand consistency and compliance. Messagepoint is purpose built with an AI-powered Content Intelligence engine within its platform to automate and simplify the process of migrating, optimizing, authoring and managing business-critical on-demand, interactive and batch communications across all platforms and channels.
