ibml announced the availability of SoftTrac® Analytics, first-of-its-kind software that provides a real-time, holistic view of the performance of an organization's document scanning operations. SoftTrac Analytics is the first in a series of planned modules for ibml's SoftTrac suite for centrally managing enterprise document scanning operations.

By centralizing operations reporting and analysis with SoftTrac Analytics, organizations can gain a much better understanding of the efficiency and effectiveness of their document scanning infrastructure, and can more easily develop, manage and distribute operations reports.

"Reporting and analysis is a critical resource for operations managers," said ibml President and CEO Derrick Murphy. "But to extract this information from multiple scanners, and turn it into timely and actionable business intelligence, is difficult and strains limited IT resources. SoftTrac Analytics provides operation managers with the data they need to make actionable business intelligence a reality. This type of enterprise visibility and management is fundamental to our SoftTrac suite."

SoftTrac Analytics enables easy, real-time access to rich productivity data and operational statistics from a user's document scanning solution. This gives operations managers better insight into their business assets, labor, processes and more. For instance, SoftTrac Analytics provides running totals for throughput and documents processed. Report information can be filtered by scanner, operator, job, time frame, errors and more. Users also have the ability to drill-down and sort report data. Reports can be stored locally, centrally on the network, or e-mailed. The Windows-based software seamlessly works with ibml's SoftTrac suite and includes a library of "built-in" reports, including:

  • Batch Statistics Summary
  • Batch Status Summary
  • Error Summary
  • Scanner Statistics Summary
  • Cumulative Image Summary
  • Operator Statistics by Job Summary
  • Operator Statistics Summary
  • Scanner Utilization Summary

Each report includes graphical representations of the data, as well as summary data. Additional reports can be quickly developed using drag and drop tools and intuitive sort and grouping options -- eliminating the high cost and long lead-time for IT staff to write custom reports. Compared to other scanning reporting solutions, SoftTrac Analytics offers best-in-class viewing and editing capabilities.
